Edmonton's in the midst of a bitter cold snap and with spring still months away, dreaming of wearing this gorgeous dress is my only salvation from the winter doldrums.
This maxi is officially my first purchase of 2013. My second? These fun printed oxfords. Can you tell I’m tired of being wrapped up in thick winter clothes?
What about you? Have you bought anything from the spring collections yet? It’s hard not to, isn't it -especially with temptation lurking everywhere you turn – even at the dang supermarket. I’m looking at you Joe Fresh floral printed jeans.
Hope you're having a fantastic week and keeping warm.

This would be perfect for my Mexico trip! Have you tried it on yet, D?
ReplyDeleteNope, I haven't tried it on yet, C. I bought it online. Hoping it works out 'cause I am in LOVE with this one!(:
Deletethat dress is stunning! I'm so in love with maxi dresses; especially ones you can dress down with a jean jacket... maybe that's why Khloe is my favourite Kardashian - that girl knows how to rock the maxi and denim jacket pairing. Too bad Anthro wasn't a bit more in my price range (read CHEAP). xo
ReplyDeleteI'm usually a fan of that price range too Sara, but after staring at this dress, for what feels like a gazillion years, I took the plunge and finally hit the checkout button. Sure hope it fits (;
Deletep.s. I really dig the maxi/jean jacket look, too. Team Khloe, all the way!
Wow, that dress is amazing!!! You definitely need to get that....

Done! (:
DeleteNow, I'm (im)patiently waiting for it to come in the mail.
talk about retro - I had one like this in the late 70's
ReplyDeleteEverything comes back in fashion, doesn't it?!
DeleteDo you still have that retro number, V? I'd love to see it!
That dress is fabulous! I cannot wait to see how you are going to style it!! I too have been drawn to shoppin spring stuff, I think the colors make me just feel warmer in the winter!
ReplyDeleteI'm sure hoping it can be "casualized." Fingers crossed. (:
DeleteThis time of year is tough for us northern dwellers. We're still knee high in snow, but all of the spring fashions are in stores calling our names. Dangnabbit!!
Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteDoesn't it make you want to sip on piña coladas and listen to a steel drum band, Cheryl? (:
DeleteThat would look stunning on you, you're hair color & height = just lovely!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Shawna! That's really sweet of you (:
DeleteWhat a gorgeous dress!! Can't wait to see it on you. It just so happens I have purchases Joe Fresh floral jeans haha as well as a knit mint sweater from them and a light denim shirt. Joe is my kryptonite haha.

This dress makes me wanna hop on a plane to somewhere warm in the Mediterranean ASAP. For some reason I'm thinking Greece. You will rock those jeans.
ReplyDeleteI feel the exact same way, Belle! Somewhere warm, please!! I'm so over winter. Ugh.
Deletep.s. Thanks for the sweet compliment about the jeans. (:
Love it!!! I can't wear a maxi dress because I"m short and it makes me look like I'm wearing a tent. I did just buy an orange spring jacket from Joe Fresh. I wore it this weekend and I felt like spring had arrived...yay!!
ReplyDeleteYou CAN wear maxi dresses, Carol!! You just need to find the right cut (closer to the body, solid colours & empire waists). Avoid big prints, add a skinny belt, wear open-toe shoes and you'll be rockin' a maxi in no time (: I wish we lived closer to each other 'cause we'd be going maxi dress shopping this weekend!
Deletep.s. I know exactly which Joe Fresh jacket you're talking about. It's fun and fresh! Work it, girl.
