style: new specs!
Guys! You have to check out Zenni Optical. I purchased nerdy hipstery glasses online from them just before the new year (driving at night was becoming kinda hazardous) and I couldn't be happier.
Their website is easy to navigate and the process was super simple. I uploaded a picture of myself, spent a couple of hours virtually trying on over 700 pairs of glasses (which frankly, never would've happened if I had to try them on in person) and narrowed it down to these four pairs:
I ended up ordering three of the above pairs (the aviators on the bottom right didn't make the cut) for $112. Prescription and anti-glare coating included!
Less than two weeks later, my awesome new glasses arrived in the mail in their own little cases and let me tell you, life has never been clearer. I had no idea my poor eyes were working so dang hard these past few years! Plus, I get to channel my inner Liz Lemon (:
I'm psyched by how well (and quickly) it worked out. I'd highly recommend it!

They look great, and that's a great price. I'm pretty blind and my glasses are always really expensive, so maybe I should check them out when I need a new pair!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Rachel! Chic n'cheap! What could be better?
Deletethose frames look fabulous on you! I am definitely going to have to go check that site out!!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Randi! I really enjoyed the online buying process. It's tiring (and time consuming) having to go from store to store looking for the "perfect" frames. This was easy peasy!
Deleteyou're the cutest. I sometimes wish I had poorer eyesight just so I could wear adorable specs. I love the frames you picked out and that price for all 3!! insane.
ReplyDeleteNo, you're the cutest! And you should definitely try wearing fake specs, Sara! I think they'd really suit you. Think sassy librarian. Hellooo!(;
DeleteLOVE your new glasses! So pretty:)
ReplyDeleteI have ordered from Zenni before and was very happy with them.
Thanks, Kristin! I really dig 'em and I feel so dang smart (in the car). Ha! (:
DeleteSo glad to hear you had good experiences with Zenni, too.
Oooh, those are great. I need to order a new pair of glasses soon so I'll have to check this site out!

I was a bit leery at first wondering if the glasses were going to look okay on me, but the process couldn't have gone more smoothly. Plus, the prices are RIDICULOUS.
DeleteLet me know if you end up getting some, Courtney!
Love them all and picked out a few...how did u get your PD? Did your doctor have it on the prescription?
ReplyDeleteHey Court! Does PD refer to the distance between your pupils? If so, I just had Scott measure it for me. Hope that helps!
DeleteCan't wait to see your awesome new glasses, too!
Gorgeous! Just gorgeous, I wear fake glasses just cause I love the look of them! XoXo*S
ReplyDeleteThanks, Shawna! The geek chic look is so popular these days, isn't it?! p.s. I like you in specs (:
DeleteI'm in the market for some new glasses, I just lost mine...note to self: do not put glasses in your jacket pocket!
ReplyDeleteYour new ones look great and such an awesome price!
Thanks, Meesh! I lose glasses (okay, all kinds of things) all of the time. That's why I tend to gravitate towards the inexpensive ones. I just can't afford to lose designer glasses every other month.
