save the date: clinton kelly's coming to the prairies!
Pinch me people. Style sage Clinton Kelly from TLC's What Not to Wear and author of the recently released Oh No She Didn't, is coming to Calgary on June 18. Can you say road trip!?!
The affable and cheeky Kelly will inspire, entertain and impart his ‘Fashion Do’s and Don’ts’, personally advising attendees on what not to wear.
Stay tuned for details peeps. We're in for a style treat of lifetime!
haha, it'd be funny to go and dress up like a complete freak. :D
Marlena.
ps: There was a rerun this week, about the lady from New Orleans who dressed head to toe in vintage. Do you know which one I'm talking about? Anyhoo, I somewhat agreed to what Stacy and Clinton were trying to do, saying how to mix modern with vintage pieces -- HOWEVER, I quite liked her head to toe vintage look. She looked eccentric and 100% my style. It was hard for me to watch as they cleaned her up, haha!
That would be funny Mar! I bet people will do that just to get his attention. And other people will dress in their fanciest-shmanciest ensemble hoping Clinton will announce to the entire crowd that they are the best dressed person in Canada. Ha.
And I did see the episode with the vintage lady - she had some amazing pieces. I was hoping they'd let her keep more than just 20 items. BOO!
I think maybe they thought they should polish her up a bit. That's a NY thing right? I have to admit that I loved her hairover - she looked very sultry afterwards. Ted does amazingly good stuff with people's mops! I love him.
Eeep. I'm a bit late in my reply here... I was gonna say, don't get me wrong, the vintage lady (haha, since we can't remember her name) looked very nice after her makeover. I guess my thing is I kind of like the odd and weird; people that have such original, interesting and 'artsy' looks, ya know? It would be a sad and boring world if we all looked the same. :)
Wicked! Maybe I'll roadtrip from the other direction and join you!
ReplyDeleteThat would be awesome Megan! It'd be great to meet up, catch up and enjoy some dress up talk! I'll keep you posted on the deetz of his visit.
ReplyDelete:)

ReplyDeleteRoad trip it is. We're gonna have to rent a flippin' bus 'cause us Alberta ladies sure do love Mr. Kelly. :)
