“I want a life that sizzles and pops and makes me laugh out loud. And I don’t want to get to the end, or to tomorrow, even, and realize that my life is a collection of meetings and pop cans and errands and receipts and dirty dishes. I want to eat cold tangerines, and sing out loud in the car with the windows open, and wear pink shoes, and stay up all night laughing, and paint my walls the exact color of the sky right now. I want to sleep hard on clean white sheets, and throw parties, and eat ripe tomatoes, and read books so good they make me jump up and down.” - S. Niequist
What an inspirational paragraph. Thanks for sharing - Indeed just spent my morning washing the laundry as the weather is that fine bright sunshiny windy northerly variety that dries laundry crisp in such little time. This para is particularly inspirational to me today because I had a foul mood - a mood nothing else, but foul nonetheless - will go eat an orange right now and make believe it's a tangerine.... :0
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like a perfect life to me! I would love to wear pink shoes everyday :) Love the inspirational paragraph and definitely a great way to start the day! I scrolled down and Happy Belated Birthday to your beautiful Mom! Hope you'll stop by and maybe we can follow each other? ;)
ReplyDeleteFF - I like your attitude. There's nothing like some delicious fruit to make a foul mood go away. Plus, you're lucky to live in a warm climate where you can dry your laundry outside in January. Mine would freeze in minutes.
ReplyDeletep.s. Thanks for visiting! I like meeting new bloggy friends.(:
Bessie - I'd love to wear pink shoes everyday, too. Preferably high heeled and bright fuschia. And I've already stopped by BR - super blog, lady. Consider me your latest follower. (:
Inspiring indeed! Teaches us to live in the moment! :)

I'm glad you liked it. Now and then, we all need to be reminded to live in the moment. Thanks so much for visiting!(:
ReplyDeletep.s. Your dream job is also my dream job but I'd also add eating to that trifecta.
