loving... zara's online shopping

Did you hear the collective squeal of delight across Canada last week when Zara introduced online shopping? That was the sound of a bunch of very happy Canadians! And frankly, it's about time. There isn’t anything more annoying than finding something you really like online only to realize that shipping to Canada isn’t an option (this happens far too often, I think).

I've always loved Zara and am most excited about being able to buy shoes online (I already have a couple of pairs & couldn't be happier with how comfy & chic they are). I'm also not a huge fan of shopping in store. The larger shoe sizes always seem to fly off the shelves first and is it only me, or are their change rooms mini-sized?

Here are some of the things that made it into my first shopping cart:

Zara 1Zara 2

Zara 3Zara 4

Zara 8Zara 7

Zara 9Zara 10
Zara 5Zara 6

If you haven't already heard, the prices are the same as in stores, there's free delivery if you spend $50+ (with eco-friendly packaging, no less) and you can make returns within a month at local stores or, and this is so cool, have them picked up from your digs at no charge. Plus, there’s a new app, too, so shopping on your smartphone or tablet is even more streamlined.

Have you shopped online with Zara yet? What did you think?

p.s. Happy weekend!!

  2. Love that jacket! I was excited for the online shop ( can never find the sought after things in store) but the current round is a little too minimalist for me!
This is an awesome development, and i'm very pleased that I can shop on an actual computer and not on my phone (since in Quebec so many websites are blocked...grrr...)

    1. Yes! The jacket's great and will probably end up in heavy rotation, but I'm with you Sarah, the rest of Zara's offerings are a tad minimalistic for me, too. That's why I gravitate towards their (awesome!) shoes so often.

p.s. It must be frustrating having websites blocked. Glad you're able to get on this one!

    1. Online shopping makes spending money waaay too easy, Randi! By the way, I only ended up keeping the jacket and the necklace. The dress was not flattering (at all!) and neither of the shoes were comfortable, either. Thank goodness for return policies (:

I never have time to really shop the store...there is just too much! I love doing it online!

    1. It's so nice to have the option of online shopping, Shannon - especially in our deep freeze of a winter when no one wants to leave their toasty warm house to trek to the mall (ugh!).

Hope to see some of your Zara treats on your blog!

  6. I have indulged in zaras online shopping a few times now. I find that since they have free shipping (who is spending less than $50 at Zara?) and free returns I don't have to deal with the insanity that is the change room. And like you said if your size was sold out in store - just go online!!!

    1. Their change rooms are so ridiculously small, Jane. Plus, who doesn't love coming home from work to a package from Zara!
