anthropologie: favourites of yesteryear

I visited Anthropologie last weekend, and although I tried a few things on (reviews to come), nothing really got my style senses tingling. I'm hoping the blah releases of the last few months will be replaced by a bevy of beauties, in the spring. A girl can only hope.

Until that time, I'm going to continue to enjoy my Anthro purchases of yesteryear. Every single one of these items makes me feel pretty, feminine, chic and classy. And that's how you should feel when you're getting ready to take on the day.

Let's start this trip down memory lane with a marigold frock from Girls from Savoy. I wore this stunner to my husband's Christmas party, and my next step will be to incorporate it into my work wardrobe. I love how vintage, classic, and timeless this dress feels.

Did you enjoy this look back at some of our most cherished Anthro items? Sometimes it's good to be reminded of what you already have in order to keep the consumer monsters at bay. Right, ladies? (;

Happy Friday, y'all. I hope you all have something fun planned for the weekend.  I'm playing in my first soccer game of 2012. Wish me luck!

p.s. I'll be back in a few days with a few Anthro reviews and an exciting announcement for Edmonton's style fiends. Come on back now, y'hear?

  2. Thanks for including me in your post D! These dresses are all kinds of lovely :-) I'm thinking you could play your soccer game wearing the Whirligig dress - it looks so comfortable. You'd be fashionable and fierce on the field...But maybe pair it with some shin pads (you know, just in case) :-)

    1. Awww, you're welcome homefry. I love your guest appearances.

      As for wearing the Whirligig to soccer, no way! The team we played against was beyond aggressive. They would have ripped the dress to shreds and used the remnants to wipe the nasty sweat off their faces. Ha! (;

    1. Hi Shalini! Thanks so much for the compliment. I checked out your lovely blog and your Spring 2012 post. I’ll be adding a few of those categories to my spring wardrobe – especially the coloured denim, tangerine and stripes. You’re SO lucky the weather is beautiful in Bangalore. Spring doesn’t arrive in my city until late March/early April so, until then, I’ll be rocking my winter boots, gloves and coats.

      Thanks again for popping by! Ciao for now.

  10. You are gorgeous! I love all these outfits!! You have a knack of completely bringing them alive.

    I've just come over from Behind The Dressing Room Door, where we were both featured (yay!). I'm loving having a snoop round your blog - *big crush*. I've signed up to follow you!

    I'm doing a 30 for 30: Maternity Fashion series, where I have to pick 30 items to wear as 30 different outfits over 30 days...and I'm five months pregnant. Crazy..but I love it!
